Pail42 | They put creatures from various planes in the core set all the time. Krenko was from Ravnica, Odric was from Innistrad, Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis was from Alara. |

if they brought back Landfall, THAT would be an indicator of fetchlands. this is just a green donk that they like. nothing to see here, move along. __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."<@Anusien> Pretty sure New Zealanders are the sheep shaggers <KIP_NZ> Anusien: I'm a kiwi and I've shagged a sheep <KIP_NZ> we kiwi's like our sheep

Dimh | I'm hoping for a cycle of mythics from different planes.. Soul of Alara Soul of Lorwyn Soul of Kamigawa Soul of Dominaria etc etc etc |

Soul of Kamigawa would be a 6B 2/2 with fear, soulshift and "4B: Discard this: Target player discards a card. Play this only as a sorcery". |

That made me sad to read. Hurts b/c it's true. Ya know what card I'd like to see them reprint for standard? Promise of Power. That was a good (standardwise) card for back then if they hadn't printed affinity - that's why I feel it didn't get play after darksteel was printed. |
jbark | just stirring the pot. convenient card to spoil. |
Esper3k | I don't think they'll reprint fetches in a core set yet. I'm thinking they're saving the Onslaught ones for when we return to Zendikar. It would be cool if we got a cycle of Souls. White = Theros? Black = New Phyrexian / Lorwyn? Red = Ravnica (honestly, I would've thought Zendikar would be red) / Alara? Blue = Kamigawa? |
Sovarius | Why would they make a cycle? Zendikar is a plane where the inhabitants are tied to the land in different ways, it makes sense a creature could be the 'soul of' of Zendikar. Like Avenger of Zendikar. Really, why would there be a soul of innistrad or theros? Innistrad had Avacyn, that's pretty close. Theros we would know about the soul already, and it would be an enchantment creature anyways which is unlikely in a core set. |
mm1983 | I think they would do a cycle of soul creatures from Alara on up. Soul of Alara - White Soul of Zendikar - Green Soul of Mirrodin - Black Soul of Innistrad - Blue Soul of Ravnica - Red This is just speculation so even if the names were true I am sure these would not be their colors. |
Pod5f | Fetches in M15? I bet they will fetch for 3 colors instead of 2. Which means Half like 3 confirmed.... |
jbark | It's a cycle of soul creature. Bad ones at that. Blue is ravnica. |
Dimh | Well, I got this one right! http://mythicspoiler.com/m15/cards/soulofravnica.html |
Pail42 | Many of the images on mythicspoiler look rather colorless. I assume they are just bad greyscale photocopies? |

I think they were from some update in Duels of the Planeswalkers (they are mockups I believe of those). Edit> IGN preview of DotP2015

Might be really good. Worth speculation.

kingtal0n | hey guys, since this is about fetchlands I have a silly observation. Lets say we are running blue/red and have 4 scalding tarns. Now, originally I figured, well why not just add other dual color lands like sulfur falls? then I thought about how fetchlands sort of "thin out" a deck. Wouldn't it be beneficial to run other fetlands, like wooded foothills, that just go for mountains, so that 1 card becomes 2 and my deck gets smaller as I play? |
Tha Gunslinga | Generally the life loss makes the marginal thinning effect not worth it, unless it's Vintage. __________________ Selling all my cards. Want anything?
